In Phoenix\u2019s <em>Joker<\/em>, we witnessed more than just a comic book character, but a man most of us could relate to. A man battered by his circumstances and the world around him, realizing his potential for chaos, ultimately becoming the nightmare everyone wants to avoid.<\/p>\n<p>Only a few people can elevate cinema with a weak script and no plot on the sheer brilliance of their acting skills. Joaquin Phoenix made the role his own by taking Joker\u2019s madness far above many of his predecessors.<\/p>\n<p>We have witnessed the character\u2019s namesake\u2019s brilliance with Heath Ledger\u2019s performance in <em>The Dark Knight<\/em>. We have felt the immobilizing emotions of Christy Brown in Jim Sheridan\u2019s <em>My Left Foot<\/em>. Lastly, we all have witnessed the degradation of the human mind verging on catastrophe in <em>Taxi Driver<\/em>, <em>The Silence of the Lambs<\/em>, <em>The Shinning<\/em>, and <em>A Clockwork Orange<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In our analysis, Joaquin Phoenix is an amalgamation of the best these characters had to offer, both psychologically and emotionally. These characters offered the building blocks for his caricature of Arthur Fleck, making him a standout symbol of rebellion, madness, and anarchy.<\/p>\n<h2>Joker: Folie \u00c0 Deux<\/h2>\n<h3>Lady Gaga<\/h3>\n<p>With the newest look of Lady Gaga, as the infamous Harley Quinn, there is no other cast member that we can get more excited about. All the pictures that we have seen so far tell us that Gaga is simply reinventing the character of Harley Quinn and that too on a serious note.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the latest picture shows Gaga in Arkham Asylum, leading to the question of whether will we be feasting on yet another backstory. Well, from the looks of it in the latest installment, Todd Philips has many love stories and heartbreaks in the mix.<\/p>\n<h3>Arkham Asylum<\/h3>\n<p>The previous film&#8217;s ending potentially set up an engrossing plot for the upcoming thriller. Most of it is expected to be staged at the iconic Arkham Asylum of DC Comics, which will further dive into the psychological manifestations of the character to understand the chaos within him.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, he is expected to escape Arkham with Harley Quinn while setting the whole place on fire. Sound confusing, right? Well, let me take you there.<\/p>\n<p>So, what happened was that my friend and I decided to watch a very late-night show of this movie. It was just us and these two boys sitting right before us. We didn\u2019t converse once during the movie, but as the movie finished and we got up to leave the theatre, they asked us: \u201cHow did you like the movie?\u201d \u201cWe didn\u2019t enjoy it one bit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I said, \u201cWe both loved it. We can relate to it\u201d. We looked at each other and started laughing a demonic, hysterical laugh. The boys were confused at first. Slowly, their face turned pale. The one on the left tried to push the one in front. Trying to mutter something in his urgency to leave the theatre.<\/p>\n<p>We laughed even louder, and as they left, their face was blue as haunted <a href=\"https:\/\/rochaksafar.com\/where-to-go-when-bored-2\/\">vanilla<\/a>, wondering if maybe now they knew what the movie was about.<\/p>\n<p>When I come to think of it now. The movie impacted two brilliant minds who could connect to a character on a deeper level. So, even if the new installment has the same loopholes in plot and direction, it will be worth watching simply because of the magnificence of Joaquin Phoenix.<\/p>\n<h2>Closing Note<\/h2>\n<p>There were times when people mocked the cast by questioning: Who could reinvent the psychopathology of the Joker after what Heath Ledger did to the role?
